Privacy policy

This policy describes how Weavedle ("we", "us"), operated at weavedle.io, collects and uses information when you play the daily puzzle or create an account. We process only what we need to run the game, rank today's times, and keep a signed-in profile.

Information we collect

If you play without an account we store a random anonymous identifier in a cookie so you can submit one result per day. Leaderboard rows for unsigned players are shown as "Someone".

If you create an account we store your email address, a public nickname, a hashed password and/or a Google account identifier, and gameplay totals (points, streak, first-blood count, accuracy, daily wins, and personal best). If you send a friend request we show your email to that person so they can recognise you. Friends lists themselves only show nicknames. We do not collect payment details on this site.

When you finish a puzzle we store the time, the puzzle date, and (if signed in) the points awarded for that day so we can show today's ranking. Those daily rows are deleted after 48 hours. Persistent account totals are kept until you delete the account.

How we use information

We use this information to operate the puzzle, authenticate you, prevent abuse of the leaderboard, display public nicknames and titles, and respond to account requests. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising trackers. We collect anonymous, cookie-free page metrics (Vercel Web Analytics) so we can see how many people visit.

Retention and your rights

Daily leaderboard data is retained for 48 hours. Account data is retained until you delete the account from the account page, which removes the profile and any remaining rows tied to it. You may also change your nickname or password at any time while signed in.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. The fastest way to delete it is the in-product account deletion control. For other requests, contact us at privacy@weavedle.io.

Weavedle is intended as a casual game. Do not submit sensitive personal information in your nickname. Children should only use the service with a parent or guardian where required by local law.
